The iconic Shigeru Ban–designed Aspen Art Museum’s Level 3 presents a dynamic and adaptable entertainment space for an array of gatherings, meetings and celebrations, including weddings, private dinners, and corporate functions.
Set atop the internationally acclaimed contemporary art museum and adjacent to the Museum’s Roof Deck Sculpture Garden, the AAM’s Level 3 offers unparalleled panoramic views of Aspen’s surrounding Ajax, Red Mountain, and Independence Pass landscapes.
With fully functional sliding glass walls that provide possibilities for seasonal and weather-sensitive adjustments, this expansive yet intimate venue highlights the building’s stunning architecture as it presents guests with a setting unmatched in Aspen that can accommodate cocktail receptions and unique dinners.

Please note that site visits of our event space by outside vendors, planners, and other representatives must be arranged in advance with a Museum Events representative. We appreciate your cooperation in scheduling an appointment to ensure a seamless experience.

Aspen Art Museum holds a full liquor license, and therefore all alcohol must be purchased through the museum.
Event setup may begin two (2) hours prior to the event start time.
Due to Aspen’s local noise ordinance, we recommend that events conclude by 9 PM. Vendor load-out must be completed by 10 PM.
Limited parking spaces are available around the museum. The Aspen Parking Garage is at 427 Rio Grande Pl, Aspen, CO, 81611.
If you require valet for your event, the museum has a preferred list of valet services.
Please note: Due to the high volume of event requests, we require a signed contract, a full private facility rental payment, and credit card on file to hold the date on our calendar.
Additional gallery access/private tours (upon availability) for an additional fee.
The facility rental fee covers up to four (4) hours of a privately hosted event, including security, and the following:
- One (1) site visit with the Aspen Art Museum events team
- Two (2) meetings with the Aspen Art Museum caterer
- One (1) Contract negotiation/revision
- One (1) floor plan
Please note: There is an administrative fee for event planning by AAM staff that exceeds what is listed above.
Corporate events require Corporate Sponsorship, which offers various benefits including discounts on private facilities rentals.
- Full Day Buyout: For setup that requires more than 2 hours prior to the event start time, an additional purchase of a full day buyout of the Level 3 event space will be required.
- AAM Staff Setup and Strike Fee
- Security Fees: 1 security guard per every 50 guests is required for private facility rentals, at the expense of the contracting group.
- Outside catering fee (caterer must be approved by AAM).
- Empty Event Space (no cafe furniture) fees for removal and storage of AAM cafe furniture in off-site location.
