Active Art:
Junk Journaling

at Pitkin County Senior Services

Join us for a surprising workshop all about turning “junk” into art! We will transform everyday items—such as old stamps, receipts, grocery bags, and tags—into personalized junk journals.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own journals and collected “junk” to add to their projects, though all necessary materials will be provided. Active Art is a free community outreach program that invites seniors in the Roaring Fork Valley to engage in the social dimensions of art and art making through exhibition tours, conversation, and workshops aimed to engage hand dexterity, enhance memory, and encourage self reflection.

Active Art is hosted at the Aspen Art Museum and other community locations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.
