MOUNTAIN STORY
with Poncili Creación

When the first second passed before matter dreamt of love
the mountain was already there

Witness to centuries long chemical orgies of planetary systems
and the birth and death of stories
the earth watched as a silent spectator

Witness to the love life’s of particles and endless drama
of eucariota organisms the soil has
gathered patiently the history of evolution

Witness to the millennia long myth of a sunrise
and the faunas endless assassination attempts in the
name of feeding their progeny the mud rejoiced in being their mother

Witness to mammalia being gifted a pattern seeking brain
and language emerging as a new kind
of magic the dirt smiled and said nothing

Forever grateful to the mountain for holding our stories
and suspending our bodies upon the eternal void.
